Case Management Service
Each family meets weekly with their case manager. With the assistance of the adult family member, the case manager develops an Individual Service Plan (ISP). This plan identifies issues and services that the client may need. It also sets forth clear short and long-term goals. A schematic goal sheet is then developed with projected target dates for completion of these goals. Case management staff monitors and documents the client's progress as is relates to the ISP. In addition, case management ensures that the goals are consistent with the overall goals of the program and its mission: Permanent Housing, Increased Skills and Income and Self Sufficiency.
Substance Abuse & Mental Heath Treatment Services
Adult residents are required to participate in weekly individual drug counseling sessions with a Certified Addictions Counselor. Residents are also required to participate in weekly Group Recovery Sessions. Based upon each individual’s assessed need at the time of entry into the program, the adult family member is required to show documented attendance at outside AA/NA meetings.
Life Skills Training Service
These workshops/classes provide education and skills in areas such as budgeting, parenting, family life, health and nutrition, disease prevention, communication, anger management, interviewing and employment skills. Families participating in the Good Hope House Program have access to food stamps, supplemental groceries, clothing, computers, an on-site play area and nearby community centers. Child Services include developmental screening upon program entry; and depending upon the child’s age and assessed needs, referrals can be made for tutorial services, as well as local, state and Federal resources to support mental health, education and healthcare for children. Additionally, all children participate in age appropriate weekly Play Group Therapy.
